When we were writing the contract to purchase our house, my husband wanted to waive the septic inspection on the property as he felt there were not going to be any issues. Greg could have allowed us to do that but he indicated a few reasons where he strongly felt that waiving the inspection Would not be in our best interest. With that advice, we changed our mind and made the inspection a part of the contract and are we glad we did. The test indicated problems which required the installation of a new system that cost the sellers close to $20,000 to replace prior to settlement.
